The 2024 Beijing CBD Forum took place from June 5 to 7 under the theme “Dialogue with the World for Common Development.” This landmark event promotes Beijing’s role as an international exchange center. Notably, the Roundtable Dialogue for Domestic and Foreign Auto Enterprises, held on June 6, garnered significant attention.

Co-hosted by UNIDO ITPO Beijing and the Chaoyang District People’s Government, the forum aimed to facilitate crucial dialogues for auto enterprises and enhance international cooperation. Keynote speakers included Andreas SCHEUER (German Federal Minister ret.) and President of Asienbrücke e.V., who emphasized the automotive industry’s rapid transformation compared to previous decades. He appealed for thinking across different modes of transportation, staying open to technology, and envisioning mobility in the context of digitalization. He also said that people will witness new vehicle concepts and the logistics sector will undergo significant changes.

The roundtable discussions focused on topics such as sustainable supply chain resilience and brought together representatives from various sectors.
