Exploring Opportunities in Nepal
Asienbrücke e.V. had the honour of meeting with the Honourable Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal. As a longstanding advocate for women’s rights and founder of influential NGOs such as Saathi and the Safe Motherhood Network, Dr. Rana Deuba continues to be a driving force for social progress in Nepal and beyond.
We were also pleased to welcome H.E. Dr. Shail Rupakheti, Ambassador of Nepal to Germany; Mr. Sushil Gyewali, CEO of the Investment Board Nepal; and Mr. Babu Raj Adhikari. Together, we engaged in productive discussions on Nepal’s economic priorities and the evolving investment landscape, with a particular focus on avenues for future collaboration.
Nepal, a country rich in cultural heritage and natural beauty, is increasingly positioning itself as an economic player in South Asia. With a young and dynamic population, Nepal is taking meaningful steps toward sustainable development, international partnership, and inclusive growth.
Particular attention was given to Nepal’s emerging role in the field of renewable energy, including wind and hydrogen technologies. The country’s efforts to create a more favourable environment for foreign direct investment and to introduce targeted incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially noteworthy.
We sincerely thank our Nepali partners for their openness and forward-looking dialogue. We look forward to continued exchange and the development of mutually beneficial partnerships in the future.
